The Australian high commissioner to Ghana, Mr. George Brandis over the few weeks seems to be enjoying the country with his nationwide tour.
The high commissioner seems to be very passionate about his job and doing all he can to raise the flag of his country very high in the country.
For the past few weeks, he visited lot of popular places such as the mole part and the Gambaga witch camp. One of the things that caught our eyes is his constant passion to genuinely help eradicate poverty and better the lives of the ordinary Ghanaian.
During his visit to the popular with camp, the distinguished High commissioner was not happy the way our women, mothers were treated and he’s therefore calling on all citizens especially those in power to help better the lives of this women.
According to him, “Exclusion and abuse of elderly women as so-called ‘witches’ is inhumane and un-Ghanaian. And it is neither Christian nor Muslim. These elderly women are Ghanaian mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunties and daughters. They deserve Ghana’s love and support. I showed mine at Gnani camp today.”
He is therefore calling on all well meaning Ghanaians to stand with him and show love to these women.
“#StandWithMeGhana and let’s put an end to this. Share my video to show your support.”
We say thank you, Mr. George Bandis for the good work and service to mother Ghana and we call on all citizens to join the fight against this inhuman treatment.
